So, Katie Tiedrich from Awkward Zombie made this strip last week about being overencumbered in Fallout. I figured, “Hey, I’m playing Fallout right now, why don’t I join the overencumbered party?”

Rather than ditching useless items like empty bottles, scrap parts, and coffee mugs, I’ll usually turn to eating my irradiated foods to lose weight. I guess I’m not “losing” the weight, technically, but carrying stuff in le belly must make it easier for my PC to walk.

On the other hand, when I cram a bunch of food down my throat in real life, I often feel like walking becomes more difficult.

Just another example of how games provide a wonderful escape, I guess.

On the customer front, here’s a fun little exchange I had the other day:

A customer was looking at surge protectors when I asked him if he needed help. He said that he was just comparing features, and that he’d grab me when he had a question. Normally when this happens, the customer is generally knowledgeable about technology. I let him be.

About ten minutes later he grabbed me and offered up this gem of a question: “Do these surge protectors work with United States outlets?”

In case you don’t know, I live in the US. My brain… hurts.

One last thing. Nick, if you’re reading this right now, you’re a monster. How could you flush those lyrics down the toilet?! I can’t even begin to explain how disappointed I am.

And Nick? I think we just confused the heck out of everyone else. Keep being evil.
