LIVESTREAM UPDATE:

First off, thanks to everyone who attended last week’s stream, it was really fun and I hope you guys enjoyed it!  Based off of reader suggestions, I ended up doodling Queen Chrysalis wearing a PSY getup while riding on top of a giraffe.  Neat!  Also, I played some Borderlands 2, which was pretty fun as well!

Additionally, you guys finally got me to use Pandora internet radio after Youtube wasn’t cooperating, so… thanks!  Pandora was pretty sweet.

In case you missed the stream and wanted to see it, the recording can be viewed here!

If you just watched the replay and are all like, “woe is me, that stream was totally cool and I wanna watch the next one live so I can join in the comments section,” the next livestream will be this Friday, January 25th, 2013 at 10pm est!

I hope to see you then!

END LIVESTREAM UPDATE!

One of the things that bugs me about Borderlands involves the “fight for your life” event, where upon being drained of shields and health, your character cannot move (or in the case of Borderlands 2, has limited movement) nor aim well and must kill an enemy quickly or die.

Every time I get knocked to the ground, rather than run away in order to insure I can’t shoot anyone to revive myself, enemies just stand right in front of me doing nothing in particular.

Heck, I’ll take the free life, but it seems a bit counterintuitive for the evil forces of Pandora.

This weekend, by the way, was the 13th birthday of Jackie’s GameFAQs account!  Naturally she threw a party where we played a bunch of the games she regularly commented on with her old account.  Also, there were beverages.

A good combination.

Strangely enough, a small handful of our guests had never played Ocarina of Time before, so we started up a new file with the following plan in mind: everyone who had played the game before would do the running around town doing errands segments, and those who had never played before would tackle the dungeons.

Hilarity ensued.

For example: upon reaching the boss room in the Great Deku Tree, our intrepid newbies ran around for five minutes not knowing how to activate the boss fight.

“There’s definitely a monster in here,” one of them proclaimed, “I can hear it.”

After a while, they finally looked up to trigger the Gohma battle, any every dungeon from there on out was just awesome to watch; it was really cool seeing people experience the game for the first time.

Brought us back and all that.
