LIVESTREAM UPDATE:

The next livestream will be this Friday. May 31st at 10pm est!  Wowza!  It appears as though things are working again, so hopefully everything will work properly this time around!  As always, I’ll be doodling your suggestions, chatting it up, and playing games afterwards (continuing the Ocarina of Time runthrough)!

The stream can be viewed either here or here.

See you then!

END LIVESTREAM UPDATE!

There are many things in my life that I’m laid back about.  I don’t freak out while driving, getting stuck on the subway doesn’t bother me too much, I don’t worry about getting hit by buses, or getting stabbed in an alleyway, etc.

What does freak me out, however, is lightning.  I don’t mean that I fear getting struck by it, getting caught without shelter in a storm, being frightened by the sound of thunder, or any of the fears associated with lightning.

I mean that the moment I think there might be lightning nearby, I immediately power off and unplug all of my electronics… even the stuff connected to my surge protector, and even though my landlord is an electrician and probably has our building super safely wired.

There have been times when I’ve called Jackie while away from home and asked her to double check that my stuff is unplugged and, even though she confirms that everything is safe, I’m still nervous.

Cause, you know, the lightning might come through the window just to hit my stuff.

Or something.

Is it silly?  Sure, but it’s the only time I’ve ever truly felt the need to employ the “better safe than sorry” method.

Well, that’s my irrational fear… what’s yours?
