The winter themed Overwatch stuff came out this week, awesome!  I’ve been looking forward to the patch for a few reasons:

First, Symmetra’s new abilities went live, those being the throwable shield and addition of the shield generator as a second ultimate ability, making her infinitely more useful on point B defense than she was before.  Her attack usefulness has increased as well, but I’m not sure how much we’ll see her when attacking however.

Second, SKINS!

While I don’t play Mei that much anymore (and generally hate it when there is a Mei on the opposing team), I still love her as a character as she was the one that first got me hooked on the game; trolling folks with ice walls was immensely satisfying.

She had yet to get a single new skin since the game released, so it was obvious that she’d get something for the winter patch being the ice character.

Her skin… is basically a recolor… with a Santa hat.

I mean, it’s cool that her ice coffin ability turns her into a snowman when that skin is equipped but… it looks so plain.  For a legendary skin, they should have done more than what essentially was little more than a palette swap.  Heck, the Pharah, Reaper, and Roadhog skins are all much cooler and those are only purples.

Speaking of Roadhog, why did he get skins for both Halloween and Christmas?  Actually… Pharah, Reaper, and Zenyatta got skins for both as well.

Why does everyone have extra skins, and Mei only has one (and it’s boring)?

We need to deck Mei out!
