So I finished Sonic Forces this Friday (though there’s a bunch of extra missions and content for me to go through apparently so I’ll come back to it) and I kind of have zero idea as to what the story was.

We’re told that there was a war, but we never really see a war outside of a battle at the very end.

We’re told that Dr. Eggman has taken total control over the world an apparently has either political or military influence over the entire planet, but we never see the human cost.

We’re told that the evil plot is to crash the sun into the Earth or whatever, but I’m not sure how that benefits Eggman, he’d be just as screwed as everyone else, wouldn’t he?

What in the heck is going on in this game?
