LIVESTREAM UPDATE:

The next livestream will be this Friday, March 6th at 7pm est!  Get ready for doodles!  Get ready for chatting!  Get ready for Disney music!  I also haven’t shown a full Applejack… progress report(?) in a while, so I’ll show that too!

You guys suggested that I take a stroll through my unplayed Steam games in order to pick out something new to play after the doodle is done, so this week we’ll be playing…

JAMESTOWN!

You can view the stream here or here.

See you then!

END LIVESTREAM UPDATE!

Rich and I started playing Tales of Xillia 2 this week and my excitement level is sky high.  Xillia was an excellent game, and even though the Tales series has pumped out stinker sequels before I can’t imagine they’d be able to ruin things too badly.

I hope.

Xillia 2 has gotten off to kind of a weird start.  There seems to be a lot of “hey look at this cat, isn’t it a silly cat?” humor, and the driving force of the story at the moment is that our lovely hero has suddenly taken on the burden of a Twenty Million gald debt.

That’s a lot of gald.

From a practical perspective ToX2 uses acquiring gald as a means to progress the story: make payments at specific times and main character Ludger can move to a new zone.  I’m fine with that.

What I’m not fine with is how the debt was acquired.

Ludger sustains a serious injury in the early going which would have been fatal if not for the quick work of a doctor…

…or so the doctor claims, anyway.

Sure, Ludger was probably hurt… and the doctor probably fixed him up… but we don’t know that with any certainty.

Heck, Ludger wakes up in a bar when he is told this information.  If I ever woke up in a bar with no memory how I got there and there was a guy telling me to sign a bill for twenty million dollars claiming he saved my life, I’d be a little skeptical.

Oh well… gotta pay off that loan!
