Corpse Run 1,118: Like seriously whyyyy
What is it with JRPGs and giving racy costume options to characters who are children? Why is this normalized?
Nonsense like this and the “she may look like a child but she’s really four thousand years old” stuff has got to stop.
Am I crazy?
Are we all crazy?
Also, Victoria and I watched The Black Cauldron. Now, I heard it was one of those Disney movies that wasn’t really so good, but I figured that it must have just had a bad rap and probably was mediocre…
…well, we watched it and…
…ok it’s legit a total mess…
…a completely awful clusterfuck…
…you need to see it for yourself.
…
…the pig was cool, though.
So I don’t know the characters or the series so I had to look up a costume guide. It isn’t THAT bad, but there is a literal swimsuit costume as well (which is less pervy than it could be so some minor points there). Yeah, it’s… not great.
Oh thats a whole kettle of fish. There are a bunch of anime fans who will actively talk down to you about how its wrong to inhibit shows featuring echi content about 14-16 year olds. Just check out conversations around Akebi’s Sailor Uniform in this season anime.
that last costume is actually a refference to the idolmaster series. its ment to be one of those, well, teen idol things they have over there famously.
Its a THING with Japan, unfortunately. Its perfectly fine to have girls of any age (and at times young boys) in skimpy/sexualized outfits! You have to be able to tell its a girl by the long hair and significant amounts of exposed skin.
There’s also things like host clubs where you easily drop $200 in a single visit (or as high as $4000) and the creepy idea of highschool sugar babies. Which much like prostitution is “frowned upon” (even when it is closer to professional escorts) for the girls yet there’s always people of supposedly high moral status and old enough to be the girls’ fathers or grandfathers being caught with them.
Devs can be very horny and they assume anyone interested in their work is also horny and would drool over the waifus in skimpy outfits.
I remember The Black Cauldron (or Taran and the magic cauldron as it was known as here) as a pretty good movie, though I probably last saw it when I was about 9 years old.
