END LIVESTREAM UPDATE!
Jackie and I have been drinking a lot of wine recently…
…that’s not quite right.
Jackie has always been drinking a lot of wine, and I’m starting to catch up to her. We’ve both been using Club W to have wine shipped to our apartment every month, which has been pretty neat. I mentioned it a few comics ago, but the best part of the Club W shipments is that they come with information cards on the wines you ordered, listing things like how fruity, earthy, or woody your wine is.
The cards also tell you what aromas the wines are supposed to have.
The wine I’m currently drinking for example is a 2014 wine called “The Bluffer.”
I purchased it because the bottle has the Glasses/Nose/Moustache disguise as its logo.
According to Club W, The Bluffer smells like:
- Powdered Sugar
- Fresh Green Beans
- Strawberries
- Roses
and
- Raspberry WarHeads
Raspberry WarHeads… the info card really says that.
I’ll chalk it up to my palette not being refined enough, but wines fall into one of two categories: good and bad.
I will never end up being a wine salesman.
I’ll stay with good ol’ fashioned wine. The one that is made out of grapes and no fancy thing is added. I feel like a European old man
Woooo finally caught up!
But I’m pretty sure that people only taste a couple of things then just nod along sagely when someone mentions hints of roses and things. I’ve usually taste like two flavours and that’s the end of it. Lies I say!
I’d never be a wine salesman either since I mostly drink Two-Buck Chuck, or whatever the “house wine” is at a restaurant.
Ugh, so super Jelly…..We live in PA and would LOVE nothing more than to be able to ship wine to our house. Or, ya know, walk into a grocery store and pick some up….on a Sunday….stupid Wine & Spirits….
Never say never. I don’t drink alcohol at all and yet TWO supermarkets I have been employed at have put me in charge of the wine and beer sections of their stores.
Child of light was pretty cool. I thought it was kinda funny that the first party character was named after a disease, though.
