Corpse Run 531.5
Everything keeps getting better and better.
I got back to my cabin at midnight and tried to draw a strip. While doodling, something felt really bizarre… all of my muscle memory movements were not producing expected results and anything near the edges of the screen were totally impossible to interact with.
You know, things like all of my menu items and tools/colors/etc.
Some googling revealed an unfortunate answer: the stylus side of the pen is dying. Oddly enough, the eraser side works like a charm and moves around the screen deftly and with great ease. Unfortunately, I never use the eraser side (much easier to just hit “E”)!
Anyway, I’ll order a new pen today and hopefully be back in the saddle soon.
Otherwise Monday’s strip will be on paper…
OH THE HORROR!
Can’t you just use the eraser to draw? By using multiple layers?
It’s not the most ideal solution, but could it work?
Hardcopy comics here?! We haven’t had those since… actually, we haven’t had those! OH THE HORROR!
Oh man, I first read that your tablet is dying, not the stylus. Phew!
It had a good corpse… run..
That’s one heck of a good run with one stylus. I know artists who go through a stylus every year! Make sure you get the same brand as this one.
Well, let’s think of it in a positive way: your stylus pen may be dying, but it just shows how much you had to use it since you got it. May you rest in peace Corpse Run Pen #1. May the art left behind by you be eternal.
On the other hand, I do wonder how will the next strip look if you have to go old school on it.
