The NFL has let players opt out the season if they feel unsafe with the Covid-19 situation.

This is a good thing.

The NFL is now trying to move up the deadline for players to opt out.

This is a stupid thing.

The situation is constantly changing and I think it’s absolutely evil to try to bar players from opting out at a later time.  I feel like the season is unlikely to be completed this year due to the pandemic and the concept of blocking players from opt outs down the road is shortsighted and dangerous.
