So, a few stories had shown up on Kotaku and other gaming sites that over the past few months there had been a number of infant deaths related to Facebook games such as Farmville. In each case, a parent had been so absorbed by the game that she either neglected her child (not whatching while child was bathing, drowned; locked kids in closet to shut them up, starved) or actively injured her child for interrupting her gaming session.

This leads to a question. If the government is so gung ho about violent video games causing violence, why is there no talk about non violent game related deaths? Seems strange to me.

Oh, but wait, the media can’t scare parents with video clips of Farmville.

The parents will just murder their kids themselves.
