Corpse Run 685: Macro-micro
Oooooooooooook, some housecleaning. I’m going to be in California most of this week, so the “let’s make a comic” stream that’s normally on Wednesdays will be Monday night. I won’t be back until like, 2am Saturday so… bleh.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANYWAY, finished up Resident Evil 7 on Friday and I have no choice but to say that it was more or less exactly what I was hoping for. A little on the short side (first playthrough was something like eight hours fifty-six minutes), but otherwise and amazing experience that despite the first person perspective and gorgeous graphics felt like I was playing RE1 again.
After the absolute cluster-f**k that was RE6, this was an incredibly positive change. RE6 is fun, don’t get me wrong, but it was more of a fantasy power trip than it was a horror game.
So, if you haven’t played RE7, you should immediately. Even if you haven’t played any Resident Evil before, RE7 is a good place to start.
idk about mobius but the other two final fantasy mobile games are gachas, which aren’t so much games with microtransactions as they are games that integrate slot machines into the gameplay and I would consider a form of gambling.
Yeah, we’re mad about those too.
But seriously – give it a shot. The microtransaction limited edition jobs are just sidegrades of existing jobs.
Sure, you could deal a lot of damage with the $75 Tidus job and Jecht Shot only available in a limited free gacha, but you could do the same thing with the free Dark Emperor, or hell, even just a Magus with a regular Blizzard.
Some of these events even just had straight up downgrades. They were totally optional other than the collector’s value. The only real redeeming factor was the fact that they were ‘Fast Learner’ skills that didn’t need to be levelled up, giving a tiny edge to new players. But leveling up cards is not too much of a difficulty – Final Fantasy players have grinded for worse.
Mobius Final Fantasy? You mean this game where we play a semi-shirtless dude (like Xenoblade‘s Shulk) ?
You mean Mobius Final Fanservice, right?
