546: Something something Nicholas Cage
What? A strip based entirely around a semi-known gif?
This is what I live for.
Despite today being another Smite comic, I think my honeymoon with the game is nearly over. I’ve played enough to see that there’s only a handful of Gods I like to play as, and while it’s still quite fun I want to avoid getting addicted to an online game.
That said, I’ll likely still play it every so often.
In totally stupid news, Jackie and I have decided to up the ante regarding hot peppers. You might remember this video from when I was still working on How Applejack Won the War:
While Jackie wasn’t on screen, she ate a habanero of her own and was much more macho about it, no complaining at all!
She’s going to be on screen for the next one however, because we just bought…
…Carolina Reapers.
For those of you who are unaware, Carolina Reapers are (at the time of this writing) the hottest peppers in the world. There’s already of ton of videos out there of folks eating these things, but none of us eating them!
So… yeah! I’m not sure exactly what the delivery date will be, but sooner or later there will be a video popping up on YouTube of the two of us (likely) ruining our day.
In the immortal words of Bart Scott…
CAN’T WAIT.
A deadly BEE weapon! Bees. My god…
BEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Regarding the peppers, I’m not surprised that S Carolina boasts the worlds hottest pepper. My grandfather (from SC) used to grow cayenne peppers and they were hotter than any other cayenne I’ve ever had. Hotter than some habaneros. Something about that soil there!
Looking forward to the video. 🙂
“Looking forward to the video”
I’m not! Just the habanero was making me pout. This thing is going to make me cry and scream quite a bit. Jackie on the other hand is pretty excited, I think!
Oh man, you guys are making a bit of a jump from habañeros right up to reapers? At least grab some ghost peppers first to ease your way up to the reapers (that’s a lie, there’s only a bit less spicy)
Story time: I got some bhut jolokia (ghost pepper) seeds a while back, and had about 6 plants growing nicely. Now, most peppers have pretty long period before you actually get a pepper; it was close to 2 years, and 3 dead plants before I saw a pepper growing. The very night I saw that little pepper, there was a freak cold-snap/frost over the night, which killed my remaining plants & ruined the young pepper which I’d only just noticed. I’m still getting over the disappointment and haven’t tried to grow anything since (maybe when we move next, get a little greenhouse to protect them from the elements)
Read the entry below. Honeymoon? Bees? You sneaky bugger, you~
Anyways, I’d suggest not looking up too many videos of people tasting Carolina Reapers beforehand. Fear will only make it worse. Not that I’m a fearologist or anything. And also accuse Ah Muzen Cab of secretly being DOCTOR BEES as long as we’re referencing semi-known internet things.
… Anyways, just wanted to say those three things. Good luck, and don’t fear the reaper, man!
Jackie completely fears the reaper. And the wind and the sun and the rain. Jackie is staying inside today (except not because work and school and stuff).
Also I’m ultra pumped to scorch the entire inside of my digestive tract!
