Corpse Run 326: Robbing the cradle
And just like that, another Zelda strip. Seriously, it’s like Zelda’s the only game on my mind recently… I’m diseased or something.
Perhaps someday I’ll overcome my affliction… but then again, I do like Zelda games quite a bit.
Camp nonsense continues! The campers will be arriving on Sunday, and just like last year I’ll have to drive 2/3-ish hours to the airport to pick up a few kids. Last year the airport staff lost one of them for a while… here’s hoping that everything goes smoothly this time around.
In order to not frighten the children/look remotely professional, I had to shave off my beard. As those of you who frequent the livestreams might already know, I haven’t shaved for about five months, which led to me looking like this:
So all that had to go. Now, I’m not one to waste an opportunity to be silly, so I figured over the course of the week I’d shave it off little by little into funny stiles. Trimmer in hand, I got to work:
Day 1:
Then in truly weird fashion, Day 2:
The next day, I decided that I wanted to be able to eat without hair getting in my mouth for the first time in months, so the stache came off:
Had to keep the sideburns for just one more day… I find them hilarious. Also, my friend Shawn used to comment on my old sideburns, which according to him were unusually long, so I figured they need to stay in his honor.
For now.
I actually rather liked the day two style. With a bit of care, it might look more sheveled than silly!
In any event, I can’t deny that you look more like a cartoonist now, though the mountain man look wasn’t bad either!
In other news, I feel like a bit of a tool. I’ve been reading your work for a couple of years now at this point and I only NOW noticed that there was a little “Comment” clicky on the bottom. Derp. Rock on with the Zelda! And the Ponies! I love this stuff, you’re one of the five or so webcomics I still read regularly these days.
Haha, thanks! I’m not sure if I could ever pull off the day 2 look, but even if I could, I’m glad I have my face back; getting food stuck in the beard was getting to be a real hassle.
Glad you enjoy the strip!
Dammit Alex, I told you this would happen :P. It’s not like there are hundreds of comments that would slow down loading a page. Just make the comments visible by default.
Nooooooooooooooooooo! Why didn’t I listen?! I’ll figure out the solution!
Well it took me 6 days but I’ve finally read every comic!
Thanks so much for reading, I really appreciate it!
My brother did a similar thing with shaving, except he kept a ‘stache for one of the styles. I think it would have been great if you had, cuz then you could have looked like Luigi for a little bit :3
Now if only I could jump like Luigi, then I’d be set…
=P
Jeez, if I don’t shave for five months I still look like a baby faced pre-teen. (Even though I’m in my thirties) My mom used to say I’d get carded until I was 40 and I think she’s right.
There are some downsides to beards:
Food getting stuck in it
Hair getting in mouth when eating/talking
Water/other liquids dripping out of mustache when drinking
Looking like a crazy person
I’m jealous of your beard growing ability… I went 2 months without shaving once and I had like half an inch thick of blond beard… no pigmentation in beard hair sucks D:
On a side note, I did always find it creepy how that old man just lives alone in a cave and hands you his wood.
Hey, blond beard is pretty cool, Nick Mangold is a beast!
