Sooooo… unless you haven’t been near the internet or a TV in the last few weeks, you may have heard about Occupy Wall Street, where a constantly-growing group of protesters have been marching across New York City, primarily at Wall Street, to raise awareness about how our corporate overlords continue to be the cancer of our society and the cause of all of America’s recent financial problems.

I tend to agree, but what do I know? I’m poor.

Mario, on the other hand, seems to have it a lot worse than I do.

The major “calling card” if you will of the protesters is the “I am the 99%” letters, which are messages written onto plain paper that explain citizens’ individual struggles, always finishing with “I am the 99%”, a demarcation that separates the writer from the 1% of the country that owns an inordinate amount of our wealth.

Quick shoutout to reader Colin, who warmed my heart with a message that I don’t need to be a part of Kotaku’s Sunday Comics; that I’m better off without it. He’s right; time for me to move on from that venture.

Anywho… it’s customer story time! A guy comes into the store and asks me if we have any “BVRs”. I say, “Did you mean DVRs?”

“No, I said BVR, do you have them or not?”

Every once in a while, a customer stumps me. Instead of pretending to know what I’m talking about, I own up and say so. “Forgive my ignorance, but what’s a BVR?”

“It’s a device that digitally records stuff.”

Hmm, I wonder. That totally sounds like a DVR. “Sir, it honestly sounds to me like you’re describing a DVR, are you sure that isn’t what you mean?”

YES,” said the customer, now getting angry, “I’M LOOKING FOR A BVR!”

“What does the ‘B’ stand for?” I ask.

“Digital,” says the customer.
