LIVESTREAM UPDATE:  This week’s livestream will be on Friday, September 14th, 2012 at 10pm est!  Stop on by for some doodly, talkie fun!  I’ll also play some games again if you guys want, so be sure to watch me suck at stuff!

The stream can be viewed here or here.

Aaaaand with the mention of Slender, I guess that brings us to today’s comic, which is more a jab at my unemployed butt than anything else.  By the way, Dan, while he does have some suits (and looks super snazzy wearing them), usually arrives at work sporting business casual.

I don’t know why I felt like telling you this, but it seemed necessary.

You know how sometimes you see something weird and every function currently running in your brain stops in order to process what you just heard?

Like the above sentence, for example, which I hope caused you to double-take.

Anyways, Jackie got her student list for the semester this week and while looking over it, some of the names stood out as particularly… unique.  One such name on the list was Diamond.  I’m not against naming children after stones, weather conditions, precious metals, states, etc, but Diamond did seem like kind of an out there name.

It might cause the kid to think that he’s intrinsically better than people, or that he is as hard as a diamond, or that he could cut other diamonds… you get my point.

The name was nearly forgotten as my eyes poured over the other names until I saw… another kind of diamond:

Chadiamond.

Chadiamond.

Now, I’m sure the kid is a great, stand-up eleven or twelve year old.  What I want to know, however, is what kind of parent names their kid Cha-friggin-diamond.

The parents just added a percussive sound to the beginning of a name.  If I ever have a kid, maybe I’ll name him DaBartholomew or something.

Or maybe have a ton of consonants lined up in a row to make it impossible to pronounce.  For example, I have a friend named Njdeh.  I love seeing people struggle to read his name in person, and I get the feeling that he does, too.

Quick shoutout to ZeldaDungeon.net, who was kind enough to post one of my comics on their site yesterday!  I’m glad they liked it, and I’m super thankful that they linked back here.  ZeldaDungeon.net, you’re cool dudes.

On a final note, make sure to thank your toilets when you get a chance, you give them a lot of crap, and they rarely, if ever, complain.  This message is brought to you by the fact that I just got out of the bathroom before writing this post.
