LIVESTREAM UPDATE:  The next super fun/neat-o livestream will be this Friday, September 28th, 2012 at 10pm est!  If you’re feeling up for it (or have nothing better to do) come by to check out a bunch of doodling, chatting, and general nonsense.  As per the new-ish tradition, the stream will be capped with me playing some games, most likely TF2 or something else that I have on steam.

The stream can be viewed here or here.

This concludes the livestream update portion of our show.

Now, in regards to today’s comic, I’m sure that some of you are thinking, “Hey!  The Stone Mask is from Majora’s Mask, which takes place in Termina.  Zelda doesn’t exist there, so Link totally could not use the mask as shown in the comic above.”

To which I say, “meh, Link totally would do it if it were an available option.”

So that takes care of that.

Much like Mario, Link sadly never gets any princess action at the end of his adventures (although I imagine there are plenty of fanfics that remedy the situation), so he’d probably sneak a peek whenever he could.  I bet Impa would smack the heck out of him if he were caught.

During the last livestream, I briefly mentioned that I watched a few episodes of Iron Chef (Japan) on Youtube recently in an attempt to recapture my High School days.  Every night on the food network (or some food channel, anyway) at midnight, Iron Chef would be on, forcing me to make an incredibly difficult decision: watch the hour long show and get to bed at 1am, or hit the hay right away.

Despite the fact that I usually woke up around 6am during High School, I almost always decided to watch the show, leading to many groggy mornings.  Thankfully, the first period all through High School was concert band, so the booming noises quickly woke me up if I was out of it.

Anyways, since watching a small handful of episodes last week, I’ve been on a huge tear the past few days, watching tons of them.  The major benefit of the show outside it’s entertainment value is that no matter how bland the food I’m currently eating is, merely watching professional chefs cook awesome food actually makes my humble edibles taste better.

I don’t know how that works, but it really does.

The unfortunate, dark side to the show, however, is that pretty soon it’ll inspire me to make some high quality food.  For anyone who’s been with the strip for a while or has read all the archives, you’ll know that the last time I tried to make something fancy, liver, I soaked it in Juaritos Lime Soda.

It… didn’t work out so well.

What should I try next?  If there are some reasonable (not expensive) suggestions, I’ll try one out and report back to you guys on how it went.

Oh, and one last thing: the best Iron Chef is totally Hiroyuki Sakai, hands down.  That dude has yet to make something that I wouldn’t want to devour immediately.  Feel free to correct me in the comments =P
