Corpse Run 465: Loophole
LIVESTREAM UPDATE:
The next livestream will be this Friday, November 7th at 7pm est! This will be a bit of a different stream, as we are going to start right away with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney! We’re gonna play along with Phoenix as he tackles case four, which is the end of game 1’s story arc!
There are many twists and turns in case 4, which builds up to a finale fifteen long years in the making!
How will Phoenix and Maya cope when the person they’re defending is someone they’d never expect?
Find out on Friday!
You can watch the stream here or here.
See you then!
END LIVESTREAM UPDATE!
Quick note for costume contest… contestants: I’ll be contacting winners tomorrow, so be on the lookout!
Regarding twitch, as time goes on it seems as though I spend less and less time actually playing games and more time watching people play games.
It’s… oddly mesmerizing, especially when you watch players who know their game of choice inside and out. In particular, I’m a huuuge fan of CarcinogenSDA, who mainly performs Resident Evil speedruns (but has recently been pathing FF8). You can check out his channel here.
Other than that, I’m super tired right now. I got home from work at 10pm tonight and quickly doodled out this strip… it’s time for bed. Like, right now… goodnight!
Personally, I spent most of my time watching YouTube videos of people playing either random games or kind of pro gamers playing TF2…I’ll need to work on my rocket jumping skills ASAP
Man… I haven’t played TF2 in like, 2 years… I should totally get back into that!
I would recommend Quake Live as well, but they put it on steam with some stupid update that effectively gives you the most powerful weapons in the game right when you spawn.
Well, unless you’re playing Duel, which is the way Quake is played professionally anyways.

“Damm, this is getting real built up, huh?” ~ Me
What can I say? I’m a ham!
I had that problem. Then I got into table top RPGs and never looked back.
Speaking of tabletop RPGs, anyone know of a good system to play a zombie apocalypse style campaign?
Not sure about tabletop RPGs, but we used to play a lot of Betrayal at House on the Hill, which is a really awesome horror-ish board game!
I only have experience with D&D 3.5, which can also be used for zombie apocalypse settings. Check out the zombiegeddon story here for some inspiration. http://community.wizards.com/forum/whats-dm-do/threads/1004776
(It’s a pretty good story, even when you don’t have any experience with table-top rpgs).
Started a zombies game using 6th edition champions (very stretchy rules system based on point buy mechanics) and it’s going very well. But I’m getting the feeling that the dm is ripping of of pirates of the carabean with the traps and a few NPCs. But he makes it more realistic by making characters that can easily die if used incorrectly. Why am I rambling about a 17th century zombie apocalypse pirate scenario tabletop campaign?
Why wouldn’t you ramble about a 17th century zombie apocalypse pirate scenario tabletop campaign? That sounds absolutely awesome!
Okay. The first two sessions were held yesterday. The second session was because the first one ended faster than expected.
First session: made characters. Friend E made a drunkard pirate who specializes in dual wielding blunderbusses and cutlasses. Friend M made a samurai that barely knew english and had serious social issues. My character became a expert swordsman who lost his land due to a corrupt King. We made these off of 100 base points and up to 30 dis. Points.
Scenario: 17th century England. We have just been commissioned as mercenary pirates (there’s a term but I forgot) and set out of our ship to intercept a Royal Navy supply ship. We get into cannon fire range and both ships start taking pot shots. We had to run around a lot to dodge the cannon balls flying over (and in a unlucky crewmember’s scenario, through) our heads. We got one good hit that took out 2 cannons before getting into boarding range. When we getting close to boarding friend E and M got on the railing ready to board and cause havoc. I climbed up the ropes and waited. Now the crew members are taking pot shots with flintlocks and other 17th century firearms and all of us are trying to duck and not get killed (flintlocks did 2d6 Body damage and most people have 10-15 body points). Boarding range is achieved and Friend E and M go jump to the other chip and attack the enemy crew members. I swing over jungle style and land on someone with a rapier piercing thier torso. Friend E whips out his blunderbusses and kills one guy and misses he other. Friend M uses a katana but gets parried by a cutlass wielding crewmate. The DM gets a grin on his face and makes the two closest Enemy crew memebers shove E and M off the boat. Sploosh. I’m left with three enemies to deal with and grab a hostage. Doesn’t work and get pierced by 2 cutlasses and have 2 body points left along with a dead former-hostage. My friends start climbing up into the ship now and enter the cannon room. Friend says he’ll refill a blunderbuss by putting lead shot and alcohol into it. We find it funny and let him. Twenty rounds later there are three remaining normal enemies and all of us are at minimal body points. Then I remember that about a minute has past and ask if any of our ship’s cannons are reloaded. Dm says yes. A suprise cannon shot takes out the wheel and captain of the ship. Declare victory. Steal the weapons of our dead enemies. Find a mysterious compass that doesn’t point north and a map to a island. We make navigation rolls but fail four times. We learn four things: it’s not in Korea, it’s not in Antarctica, it’s not England, and it’s a island on the Southern Hemisphere. Friend E’s Drunkard gets a 3 on a 6 or below skill check and finds our it’s in the Caribbean. Btw all rolls that would require a d20 in champions uses 3d6. We head off after repairing the commandeered merchant ship in the direction of the mysterious island with a few volunteer crew members from the mercenary crew we were with before along with some people we found in the harbor. End session one.
I’ll post the next session if anyone cares. And I posted this because Pifanjr thought the scenario was cool
Dude! I watch Carcinogen too! awesome
