Corpse Run 247: Sneak peek
LIVESTREAM UPDATE: The next super fun/neat-o livestream will be this Friday, September 28th, 2012 at 10pm est! If you’re feeling up for it (or have nothing better to do) come by to check out a bunch of doodling, chatting, and general nonsense. As per the new-ish tradition, the stream will be capped with me playing some games, most likely TF2 or something else that I have on steam.
The stream can be viewed here or here.
This concludes the livestream update portion of our show.
Now, in regards to today’s comic, I’m sure that some of you are thinking, “Hey! The Stone Mask is from Majora’s Mask, which takes place in Termina. Zelda doesn’t exist there, so Link totally could not use the mask as shown in the comic above.”
To which I say, “meh, Link totally would do it if it were an available option.”
So that takes care of that.
Much like Mario, Link sadly never gets any princess action at the end of his adventures (although I imagine there are plenty of fanfics that remedy the situation), so he’d probably sneak a peek whenever he could. I bet Impa would smack the heck out of him if he were caught.
During the last livestream, I briefly mentioned that I watched a few episodes of Iron Chef (Japan) on Youtube recently in an attempt to recapture my High School days. Every night on the food network (or some food channel, anyway) at midnight, Iron Chef would be on, forcing me to make an incredibly difficult decision: watch the hour long show and get to bed at 1am, or hit the hay right away.
Despite the fact that I usually woke up around 6am during High School, I almost always decided to watch the show, leading to many groggy mornings. Thankfully, the first period all through High School was concert band, so the booming noises quickly woke me up if I was out of it.
Anyways, since watching a small handful of episodes last week, I’ve been on a huge tear the past few days, watching tons of them. The major benefit of the show outside it’s entertainment value is that no matter how bland the food I’m currently eating is, merely watching professional chefs cook awesome food actually makes my humble edibles taste better.
I don’t know how that works, but it really does.
The unfortunate, dark side to the show, however, is that pretty soon it’ll inspire me to make some high quality food. For anyone who’s been with the strip for a while or has read all the archives, you’ll know that the last time I tried to make something fancy, liver, I soaked it in Juaritos Lime Soda.
It… didn’t work out so well.
What should I try next? If there are some reasonable (not expensive) suggestions, I’ll try one out and report back to you guys on how it went.
Oh, and one last thing: the best Iron Chef is totally Hiroyuki Sakai, hands down. That dude has yet to make something that I wouldn’t want to devour immediately. Feel free to correct me in the comments =P
I guffawed at this so loudly it woke the dog up
Then my mission is a success!
I had to use a Legend of Zelda Wiki to find out what was happening. My lack of interest in many of the Legend of Zelda games (including Ocarina of Time) keeps me from wasting my money on Majora’s Mask. Also not a fan of Groundhogs Day gameplay mechanics.
And while I don’t tend to read Legend of Zelda fanfiction, I have seen some on the pages of people who write stuff I do read, so I can confirm that such fanfics exist. Along with others where Link gets pretty much every chick in the series, including some that shouldn’t be chicks, like a Rule 63 Ganon. But at least I’ve yet to see a slash harem for the series.
Rule 63 Ganon sounds like the least attractive thing in the universe…
*any* universe…
Nope, that happens to be Hugo (Street Fighter series), who even has an official Rule 63 in SNK VS Capcom: SVC Chaos, which contained Demitri and the Midnight Bliss attack.

I’m sure you can guess which one.

I think you should make arsenic rice.
But that’s the *only* thing I make, TrollmateJackie!
Why don’t you make tacos for me instead of me making them for you! What a twist!
Man, I’d actually play LoZ if you could go about doing those shenanigans.
Iron Chef Chin Kenichi is my favorite, he almost always had a smile for everyone and I love spicy food so I would totally eat nearly anything he made. As for what you should make, why not try Coke a cola roast beef? Use a can of coke as the marinade.
One of my favorite things to make: Poor Man’s Quesadilla
Grocery list:
Medium sized tortillas
Shredded cheese
Chorizo/Ground Beef/Ground Chicken (all work well)
Canned black beans
If you like spicy, small can of jalapeños
1 onion
Couple cloves of garlic
Taco seasoning (again, your choice of hot or mild)
Sour cream to dip
Instructions:
1) Cook ground meat of choice on stovetop
2) While waiting on meat:
A)Open can of black beans, drain and rinse off
B)Do same for jalapeños
C)Mix beans, jalapeños, chopped onion, garlic cloves, and taco seasoning in a bowl
3) When meat is done, set to side. Place one tortilla in pan, put layer of shredded cheese on one half of it, followed by a layer of your mix, followed by a layer of meat, followed by another layer of cheese.
4)fold over, wait on tortilla to get crispy and for the mix and cheese inside to be thoroughly cooked (flip tortilla when the first side starts looking really brown)
5)repeat, cut into triangle slices, eat with sour cream.
6)Mouthgasm
*You can modify this however you want, that’s the beauty of it. You could put in rice, corn, hotter peppers, etc.
